Our portable 1 meter endoscope can allow us to visualize the upper airway of a horse, including the nasal passages, pharynx, larynx, upper trachea and guttural pouches. This examination allows us to diagnose and treat infections and inflammation of the upper airway, guttural pouches and sometimes the sinuses. We can also diagnose performance affecting diseases of the larynx such as laryngeal hemiplasia (“roaring”), displacement of the soft palate and epiglottic entrapment.
